Today, the Pastafarians celebrate International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Its much more fun refuting creationists when you get to include the word "arrr".
Pardon, what is UCC? Atheist mind set is alien to me, I don't know any atheists personally. Closest thing to atheist is one colleague who believes in God but doesn't like organized religion.
The UCC is the United Church of Christ, a fairly liberal Protestant denomination. I don't really regret being raised in a Christian household; it was knowing more about religion that led me not believing in god.
If you follow my blog, you'll find atheism as the theme. I really need to do some more writing, and will hopefully be getting a new article up very soon. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I very much value questions, as rational inquiry is how I think we can best learn about the world.
Hi, I noticed your name Prorok on Moran's blog. It means Prophet in Croatian. I wonder if you (or your ancestors) are from that area.
ReplyDeleteI am aware of the translation, although not in Croatian; my family is from Poland, and it means the same in Polish.
ReplyDeleteSlavic languages have the same root,I can understand my Polish friends if they talk slowly.
ReplyDeleteI would guess you were Catholic originally, like me. Now I see you quite changed, unlike me.
My father was raised Catholic, but I grew up attending UCC services. I am indeed quite openly an atheist, and I'm happy to talk about it.
